Mino washi, a specialty of Mino City, Gifu Prefecture, is one of the three major types of washi paper in Japan.
This is a light and refreshing spun yarn made from the knitting material "Mino washi", a high-quality paper backed by traditional Japanese techniques.
Shosen thread is made by cutting washi paper into small pieces and twisting it together, and has a texture similar to that of hemp thread. It has moderate gaps when woven, which gives it breathability, a crisp feel, and excellent moisture absorption, so it doesn't get sticky even when you sweat, making it a perfect material for the spring and summer seasons.
By combining two colors of yarn, a melange-style knitted fabric has been created.
